The Conduct, Culture and Accountability team forms part of Risk Management’s Compliance team here at CommBank and supports the Group Chief Risk Officer (GCRO) and Business Unit/Support Unit Chief Risk Officers to deliver risk management frameworks and processes that help us adapt to the changing landscape of threats and opportunities and take the right risks, with a strong emphasis on customer outcomes, resilience, security and safety.
Do work that matters
As Senior Analyst Risk Culture, you will be working with the team to evolve the Risk Culture methodology and maturity across the Group. This is a highly visible role with exposure to the business, and you will assist in generating and providing valued insights to senior leaders and the Board. You’ll also be partnering with diverse teams across the Group, including but not limited to, Group Operational Risk and Compliance, Chief Controls Offices, Business Unit/Support Unit Risk Management and Human Resources to deliver better customer outcomes for shareholders and customers.
Key responsibilities for this role are:
- Analyse quantitative and qualitative data to generate insights and reporting to support a range of Risk Culture reviews
- Design and build front-end data capture, analysis and reporting tools such as Risk Culture surveys, dashboards and data visualisation
- Contribute to cyclical and ad-hoc internal and external reporting (e.g. Board Risk Culture assessment, Your Voice Employee Engagement & Risk Culture surveys)
- Work with Senior Managers, business partners and our Transparency Visualisation team as required to develop and determine meaningful insights and trends from data-analysis, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement
- Participate in and support the Conduct and Accountability teams to deliver on our broader business and customer priorities, this includes but is not limited to using data to monitor conduct and accountability outcomes to identify insights
- Support Risk Culture reviews through undertaking fieldwork, including but not limited to employee focus groups and interviews
- Contribute to the design and continuous improvement of a range of the Group’s Risk Culture products, frameworks and strategies
- Participate in ad-hoc projects, initiatives and requests
- Role model the Group’s values, and build strong professional relationships with stakeholders
We're interested in hearing from people who have
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant field (e.g. business/management, data analytics, organisational psychology, HR)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, patterns and insights from quantitative and qualitative data
- Proficient/intermediate skills in data management and quantitative analysis in Excel
- Beginner/introductory skills in Python and/or an interest to learn Natural Language Processing
- Ability to problem solve, work independently and collaborate across teams
- Prior knowledge, understanding or experience of risk management is highly desirable but is not a pre-requisite
