How will I help?
As a member of Group Treasury, the beating heart of the Bank, you'll have the opportunity to engage with a diverse array of senior stakeholders from Westpac's Businesses, Group Finance, and Risk. Joining the Reporting and Insights team within the broader Balance Sheet, Liquidity, and Funding (BLF) team, you'll play a pivotal role in enhancing the management and continued uplift of the Group's liquidity and Balance Sheet reporting and insights capabilities.
In this role, you'll actively contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the Group's liquidity and Balance Sheet reporting and insights capabilities. Our goal is to be recognised by regulators, internal stakeholders, and market participants as industry-leading subject matter experts and operators. You'll collaborate closely with other functions within the BLF team, shaping effective liquidity risk reporting practices and delivering insightful analysis to senior management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prudential Reporting: You'll contribute to fulfilling our prudential reporting obligations under APS210 and APS330, ensuring timely and accurate liquidity and Balance Sheet reporting to both regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders.
- Liquidity Stress Testing Framework: Be part of the implementation and uplift of the Group's liquidity stress testing framework, a critical aspect of our risk management
- Insightful Reporting: Provide liquidity and Balance Sheet insights that support decision-making related to maintaining a robust and efficient Balance Sheet.

What do I need?
You'll have 3 years' combined experience in banking, financial markets, or risk management with excellent analytical skills, including interpreting Balance Sheets and experience writing and presenting reports to senior management.
Experience in liquidity risk management within a Group Treasury department, a Big 4 Consulting Firm, or a Prudential Regulator would be ideal and having familiarity with APRA and its Prudential Framework, especially regarding liquidity-related requirements, would be beneficial.
Exceptional communication skills are crucial, including the ability to effectively communicate and manage stakeholders internally across various organisational levels. You're adept at managing competing priorities efficiently with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
