We have an exciting fixed-term 12 months (Maternity cover) opportunity for a Senior Associate, Business Services position in our Business Services team. Reporting to a Senior Manager, this position is based in Vistra Australia, North Sydney office. This role offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our Business Services team and its' growth
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate and work closely with the Senior Manager in providing relevant financial documentation to clients and reviewing and approving work from our Associates and Centers of Excellence.
- Prepare financial accounts, tax returns and associated documentation for entity structures (company, trust & partnership) and individuals.
- Utilising your knowledge for of common tax issues to manage PSI, Div 7A and CGT issues.
- Assisting with the preparation and lodgement of IAS/BAS returns with the team.
- Liaising with the ATO on a variety of matters.
- Assisting the Management Accountant with data entry/bookkeeping for local and international clients.
- General Admin and filing duties and other ad-hoc duties - as and when required.
- Bachelor's in accounting/ finance; and CA or CPA Qualified.
- Minimum 3 years of post-graduate experience as a Business Services Accountant.
- Has tax experience in a professional practice environment in Australia.
- Experience with APS, Handi Soft, ATO Portal, Class Super and XERO.
- Strong commitment to confidentiality, producing quality work, professionalism, literacy, grammar and punctuality.
- Great client-facing skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Strong computer skills including the Microsoft suite.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and can communicate at various levels within the organisation and external bodies; and the ability to articulate information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Exceptional time management skills managing challenging deadlines and has high attention to detail.
- Team player attitude - willing to support as required on a variety of tasks.
- Experience with FBT and ESS are desirable.
