How will I help?
Our DCM, Syndicate & Solutions team partners with customers to optimise their funding and interest rate risk management. In this role you will work with our corporate customers when they raise funds via the bond market.
As a Senior Associate in the team, you support senior corporate originators including maintaining client databases, documentation management and assistance with delivering and executing bond mandates for all markets in which Westpac is active or has aspirations.
You will also:
- Facilitate effective information flow between issuer, and the syndicate desks and indirectly to the distribution platforms.
- Work with the issuer to arrange for documentation of programmes and the settlement of primary transactions, and other aspects of the execution process including preparing/arranging roadshows and marketing materials.
- Maintain required databases of deal information for the team.
- Support coverage and other responsibilities within the corporate client set as agreed with the Head of Corporate Origination.
- Assist and support operational excellence with regards to meeting DCM & Syndicate policies and procedures and Financial Markets compliance plans.

What do I need?
To be successful in this role you will have experience working in a Financial Markets team, preferably covering DCM and Syndicates. You will understand the Australian and New Zealand domestic debt securities market and have an analytical mind set. You will have the ability to work in a small team, whilst being able to work autonomously. Some further advantageous attributes are:
- AFMA accreditation.
- Strong experience using Excel and Powerpoint.
- Degree qualified in a relevant subject.
