- Support the Head of Assurance in managing, maintaining, and improving the Combined Assurance Framework and testing methodologies, while fostering strategic thinking to enhance Youi's Risk Management Framework.
- Facilitate departmental objectives, emphasising continuous improvement and innovation in assurance practices.
- Influence and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Develop and monitor the second-line assurance plan, ensuring timely completion of controls assurance.
- Evaluate controls' design adequacy and operating effectiveness in managing Youi's risks and obligations, proposing enhancements.
- Review Assurance team's work for accuracy and consistency, while leading, coaching, and developing them to achieve high-quality outcomes.
- Provide business insights for informed decision-making.
- A Bachelor's degree in Commerce/Business or a related field.
- Preferably, additional qualifications such as:
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
- Alternatively, demonstrated experience in Assurance roles (5+ years is a general indicator).
- Previous experience in financial services (highly regarded but not essential).
- At least 12 months of leadership experience (desirable).
- Prior experience in Internal Audit is preferred.
- A comprehensive understanding of internal control and assurance principles is essential.
- Strong attention to detail alongside refined analytical skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in time management, multitasking, and project handling.
- Demonstrated autonomy with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively for timely completion.
- Thorough understanding of operational processes, including risks and controls, and their implications for business.
- Proficiency in analytical thinking.
- The ability to effectively lead and influence key stakeholders.
