Looking for a Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner to join an expanding NDIS provider. WFH flexibility.
ClientWe partnered with an expanding NDIS provider, offering a range of Allied Health services including (but not limited to) Behaviour Support, speech therapy, occupational therapy, counselling, and more. They're now looking for an experienced, and passionate Behaviour Support Practitioner to join the team.
Role
You'll manage your own diary supporting NDIS participants across Cheltenham, Frankston and surrounding suburbs. The role involves completing thorough functional behaviour assessments for individuals who exhibit behaviours of concern and develops behavioural and therapeutic interventions, using a Positive Behaviour Support Framework to assist with reducing the intensity or frequency of behaviours of concern.
The role requires you to oversee and supervises the team, also involve a caseload, where you will develop and deliver Behaviour Support services in accordance with the NDIS safeguards framework including implementation of functional behaviour analysis, development of Behaviour Support plans, and provision of training to professionals and families.
Within the role is the opportunity to have an ongoing relationship with your participants and the reward of seeing their situations improve as well as fostering and supporting the development of Behaviour Support Practitioners and students.
Criteria
- Tertiary degree with relevant experience and eligibility for AASW membership, AHPRA or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years' experience demonstrating provision of positive Behaviour Support services.
- Eligible to be registered with the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Commission as a Proficient Behaviour Support Practitioner.
- A clear understanding and experience in supervising staff working with high risk, complex clients with behaviours of concern.
- The ability to manage challenging situations.

- The role requires a willingness to travel around Melbourne, offices in Cheltenham and Frankton
- Must have current VIC Drivers License and own vehicle
- Must be vaccinated against Covid-19
