Job description

Overview:

A growing specialist construction business seeking an Office Manager to support sustainable growth while overseeing the administrative operations of the practice. This role requires a strong blend of business acumen, human resource management, and proficiency in bookkeeping and accounting.

Key Duties:

  • Manage the office and staff for a small team of professionals.
  • Handle all accounting and bookkeeping tasks related to the business and associated entities, including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Maintain customer accounts and relationships.
  • Prepare and lodge BAS (Business Activity Statements).
  • Process payroll for the professional office.
  • Coordinate office workflow using online systems.
  • Ensure all licenses, insurances, and documents are up to date and well-documented internally and externally.
  • Update and manage the company's processes and manuals.
  • Handle general office duties to maintain smooth office operations.
  • Act as a personal assistant to the directors.

Experience, Skills, Qualifications:

  • Applicants with moderate to advanced experience are encouraged to apply.
  • A bookkeeping or accounting qualification is advantageous for this position. 
  • Proficient with online accounting software; experience with MYOB/XERO/ AccountRight preferred.
  • Familiarity with online workflow management programs or willingness to learn.
  • BAS agent certification advantageous.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
