ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Senior Business Advisor, you will be responsible for owning the client relationship as you walk beside the client on their journey of growth. You will have pride in being the trusted advisor as you directly impact the lives and businesses of your clients by helping them grow from strength to strength.
What you will do

• Work directly with business owners and financial teams on projects such as management accounting, strategic planning, cashflow forecasting, grant applications, project management of new product launches, systems implementation and business process improvement
• Form and develop strong relationships with your clients to manage all aspects of the advisory service being delivered, the entire end to end process, you must have a passion for building a long-term relationship
• You will help build on the internal culture of the Ma’at team to drive a fun supportive environment
• You will help coach and support junior staff and those that report to you
• Attend not only professional development opportunities, but social and business development events, we love a lunch!

What we are looking for

We are looking for a unicorn, someone extraordinary who shares our passion for helping businesses, someone who is looking for somewhere they can call home, someone who doesn’t want to work in a traditional accounting firm (no more timesheets!!)

• Excellent communication skills to ensure that not only clients are engaged, but you also engage with the team
• An analytical mind, an ability to problem solve and provide solutions to our clients
• Technically competent across all aspects of financial and Business Advisory
• Enjoy interacting with clients both in person and digitally
• Have a passion for technology and how this can assist in business
• You will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience at a high level
• You will be CA or CPA qualified
• You will have amazing time management and organisational skills
• You will be adaptable and flexible to work within an unstructured environment that puts our client's needs first.

Key Responsibilities
Advise our clients

• Provide timely, expert financial and accounting advice to the client, including developing budgets and forecasts, dashboard reports to meet the financial and business performance requirements of the client and to assist them to make timely decisions
• Prepare detailed reports, policies and procedures, and other material as required to support our client’s business needs
• Research new or emerging client challenges and provide advice, recommendations and options for resolution, including innovative ideas to improve process or internal control efficiency and performance.
• Assist our clients to access grant funding or capital raising, through the delivery of reporting, project plans and utilising our collective network to ensure their innovative ideas are shown in the best light.

Retain and nurture client relationships

• Strengthen, grow and nurture business relationships with existing clients and potential clients by anticipating client needs, identifying solutions, and increasing the value of our service
• Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders

Evolve the Brand

• Work with alongside the Leadership Team to make the brand stand out, as we strive to live by the brand values each day.
