Key competences:
- Information Technology or Business Degree.
- Significant experience in a business analysis role.
- Experience working for a large financial services organisation.
- Familiar with standard associated tools Jira and Confluence.
- Understanding of all aspects of the software development life cycle.
- Proven ability to interpret information, identify patterns, trends and links that inform decisions and solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to partner and collaborate effectively with stakeholders to establish strong professional relationships and influence outcomes.
- Demonstrated business and functional requirement documentation skills.
- Complete tasks with thoroughness and accuracy, with the ability to quickly identify errors and inconsistencies within information.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with audiences at all levels with clarity, impact, and influence.
Specific activities required:
- Identify organisational challenges and opportunities through consultation with business representatives.
- Plan business analysis techniques required and assess progress of analysis activities.
- Plan and produce quality communications that are clear, concise, and easy to consume, considering stakeholder preferences.
- Facilitate effective workshops, understanding stakeholders work environment and their needs versus wants.
- Collaborate with project team members to define solutions to address stakeholder needs.
- Perform decision and gap analysis between solutions and the stakeholder needs.
- Produce user stories, story maps, process, and data models.
- Assist with risks, issues, and project change management.
- Provide Peer Review feedback and support other Business Analysts.
Key Stakeholders and Relationship
- Business Stakeholders: Work closely with Senior Business stakeholders to agree on key business requirements to be delivered by the project team.
- Architects, Developers and Testers: Collaborate and assist to develop appropriate solutions that meet the business needs/
- Project Managers: Update on progress regarding deliverables as required.
- BAU Teams: Ensure support capabilities are in place for new solutions.
- Consultants and Service Providers: Engage with external consultants to deliver projects as required.
