About the role:

This is a unique permanent opportunity to work on the Core Data Platform project for a generalist Agile BA with previous experience working on data-related projects. The role will require you to have observability, efficiency, and will involve analysis around fixing current systems, creating user stories and breaking these down for the junior team members .

To succeed in this role, you will have experience coaching and mentoring junior team members; with the ability to inspire and drive high performance within the team. You will enjoy sharing your knowledge in business analysis gained over your years of experience.

You will have the opportunity to join our large Analysis Chapter that supports a variety of medium to large scale programs across the Suncorp Group. The Chapter consists of around 200 like-minded analysts, where ideas and best practice are shared via masterclasses and knowledge sharing. You will support projects being delivered in a continuous delivery model (Agile) as well as initiatives using traditional project delivery models.

What you'll do:

• Mentor/train team members; participate and contribute to Business Analysis Chapter and/or forums providing insights and thought leadership.
• Create detailed user stories to support delivery.
• Document current and future state processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Use information gathering techniques to proactively discover requirements and synthesise information accurately, completely, and coherently.
• Work collaboratively with delivery teams and business stakeholders to gather, validate and document business requirements and develop recommendations and solutions that meet business and customer needs.
• Raise, and support mitigation and resolution of, risks and issues using established tools and frameworks were applicable.
• Work close with squad / project members, including but not limited to Delivery lead, Scrum Master, Developers, Tech Leads, and Business stakeholders to identify, capture, plan and deliver the scope of work.
• Suncorp offers a hybrid way of working where you will be expected to be in the office approx. 2 days per week.

What you'll bring:

• ESSENTIAL: Minimum 4 years' business analysis experience from a large organisation
• ESSENTIAL: Previous experience mentoring and training junior team members with a passion for sharing your knowledge to create a high performing team environment
• Experience working on data-related projects would be highly regarded; experience creating user-stories
• Minimum 3 years' Agile, Lean and waterfall experience including knowledge of Agile practices, workshops, and Agile ceremonies facilitation
• Must be able to translate and understand business and technical requirements and provide appropriate alternatives and solutions to meet those requirements.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, relationship management and influencing skills including experience in dealing with various levels of stakeholders internally and externally.
• Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
• Strong team player with a positive attitude, willingness to learn and desire to make a difference
• Must be able to manage multiple complex initiatives with competing deadlines, while also working autonomously.
