Skillforce Recruitment is currently sourcing a Senior Business Case Lead for one or our clients for a fixed term project around 6 months starting around the 10th June 2024
Role Description
- Staff will be engaged to support the development of a Business Case.
- Scope includes analysis of existing risks, preparing, a Business Case for further investment into strategic cyber security to mitigate growing cyber security risks, improve systemwide compliance and security posture.
- Engaging and meeting with stakeholders and other relevant individuals for the preparation of the Business Case. May include leading working groups.
- Preparing a budget submission in support of the Business Case.
- Provision of high-level technical advice on planning and implementation guidance to senior and Executive-level stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to explore and evaluate different solutions and approaches to the problem to justify the chosen option; ensure that the proposed project aligns with the organisation’s overall strategic goals.
- Cyber Security Knowledge: Understanding current and emerging cyber security threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors; Familiarity with various cyber security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption, multi-factor authentication, etc.; Knowledge of relevant cyber security regulations and standards (e.g., Essential 8, NIST CSF).
- Project Management Skills: Defining a clear project timeline, outlining key milestones, and estimating the duration of each phase; Identifying the necessary resources (human, financial, technological) and demonstrating how they will be allocated efficiently; Implementation Planning - describing how the project will be executed, monitored, and controlled to ensure successful delivery.
- Clear Communication Skills: Ability to explain complex cybersecurity concepts in clear and understandable terms for non-technical stakeholders; Use of appropriate cyber security terminology and avoiding jargon that might confuse decision-makers.
- Interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills including negotiation, facilitation and liaison skills and the ability to gain cooperation amongst stakeholders with potentially competing interests.
- High level conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving ability within a complex and evolving technology and business environment.
