Senior Business Partner Procurement

About your new role
In this role within the Chief Procurement Office branch, you'll provide Strategic Sourcing services specifically in the ICT category. You'll be working closely with a team of procurement pros, working together to strengthen connections with both our internal teams and external partners, all to maximize the value of our procurement efforts.
In this role, you'll be a trusted advisor for our internal clients, helping them navigate through strategic and complex procurement tasks with confidence. It's a chance to make a real impact and drive meaningful outcomes. So, get ready to dive into some interesting projects!
What you bring to your new role
We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative and driven team to deliver the City's most critical contracts. If you have strong strategic sourcing skills, paired with experience in developing and managing complex procurement activities, you're exactly who we need.
Additionally, you should have:
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and planning skills and the confidence to communicate with, influence and advise various stakeholders.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Advanced ability to assess risks, research and analyse information to determine strategic sourcing options, contract selection and other recommendations.
- Motivation to achieve the best value outcomes for the City.
- Leadership qualities are highly valued, particularly the ability to mentor and impart knowledge to team members.
If you've got experience in ICT sourcing, that's a major bonus. But even if you haven't dipped your toes in that pool yet, don't sweat it. We're open to all sorts of backgrounds, so if you're up for the challenge, we want to hear from you!
