Job description

Our client is seeking a Senior Business Support Officer to join their team in Adelaide. This role offers the opportunity to provide vital support services within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of specialised tasks, including records management, administrative and executive support, coordination of briefing and meeting documentation, and other administrative duties as required. This role requires adaptability, high-level communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office software, and a keen attention to detail. What you'll do:

As a Senior Business Support Officer, your role will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our client's office. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support across the team, managing correspondence effectively and maintaining an organised record system. Your proficiency in Microsoft Office suite will be utilised daily as you navigate various business applications. As part of your role, you'll also contribute to the development and implementation of strategies, policies and procedures that align with the organisation's goals. Your ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining high standards of work will be key to your success in this role.

  • Provide effective and efficient administrative support to the Chief Executive, Deputy Director, Manager, and members of the team as required.
  • Manage correspondence through receipt, registration, processing, dispatch, follow up, filing and ongoing management of records and associated systems.
  • Contribute to the ongoing management of correspondence.
  • Proficient use of the Microsoft Office suite, and business applications.
  • Actively participate as a member of the team to manage heavy workloads and achieve high level objectives.
  • Support the development and implementation of relevant strategies, policies, and procedures.

  • Ability to manage priorities flexibly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to establish credibility and good working relationships with people at all levels.
  • Consistent performance under limited direction with close attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft software applications with willingness to learn new tools.

Essential:

  • Must possess a current police clearance
  • Must be able to provide two references
