Job Description
We currently have a very exciting opportunity in the Perpetual Procurement Team based in Sydney. Leading the category procurement team (Business Applications and Professional Services) to optimize total procurement spend.
Reporting to the Global Head of Procurement the Category Manager (Business Applications and Professional Services) is responsible for working collaboratively with stakeholders to understand business needs and objectives

Develop category strategies that meet business needs including risk mitigation, total cost of ownership reduction, and value beyond cost across the portfolio
Proactively lead the procurement process for your category, ensure business and category plans align to stakeholder needs across the global group
Develop and coach a category management team to ensure they maximise their individual and team performance
Building strong business relationships with strategic partners, in line with agreed supplier performance and compliance indicators
Implement best practices across the procurement lifecycle, for the global group, including creation and management of short-, mid-, and long-term goals and objectives to deliver on your category strategy and plans
To be considered for this opportunity, your qualifications, skills and experience could include:
As an experienced Category and Commercial Manager, you possess a minimum of 8 to 10+ years of experience in a similar capacity, ideally within the financial services industry
You are highly familiar and experienced with managing and interacting with partners and third party vendors in the professional services sector
You have extensive experience in the development, creation and execution of Category Management Strategies in the (Business Applications and Professional Services) with measurable and achievable savings/reductions and value extraction
Demonstrated experience managing all aspects of the end to end procurement lifecycle including managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts and complex commercial models
Excellent written, analytical and verbal skills to communicate with vendors, internal stakeholders, senior management and customers
Strong problem solving skills, with the ability to think innovatively; using your commercial and financial acumen
