My client are a well established organisation who are rolling out the Reconciliation Action Program (RAP) as part of the wider, national INNOVATE program.
They ideally require someone with a deep knowledge and understanding of Indigenous culture, or someone who has rolled out a similar program and is willing to learn.
What you will bring to the role
- A deep knowledge and a working understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and history or demonstrate a willingness to undertake and engage in ongoing cultural capability training
- Demonstrated experience working across Reconciliation Action Plans and/or Indigenous engagement or affairs
- Ability to translate data into culturally safe and responsive action
- Awareness and understanding of the sensitivities of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and current issues affecting Aboriginal communities, both in NSW and across Australia
- The ability to act as a bridge between First Nations communities and non-Indigenous worlds
- The ability to Self-Development / Continuously Learn
- Knowledge & Application of Industry, Emerging Trends and Good Practice
