Your New Role:
This role will play a key role in ensuring projects (and associated change initiatives) meet strategic and operational objectives on time and on budget by increasing employee adoption and usage. This hands-on, standalone role works part of a small PMO team and focuses on the people side of change, including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job responsibilities and communications around engagement.
The primary responsibility will be creating and implementing change management strategies and plans that maximize employee engagement ie: adoption and usage and minimize resistance. This change management role will work to facilitate engagement and develop and deliver communication and education to drive faster adoption, higher ultimate utilization of and proficiency with the changes that impact employees. These improvements will increase benefit realization and value creation.
This role will support project managers assisting them fulfil the role of change sponsor and will provide enterprise support to all levels of managers and supervisors as they help their direct reports through periods of transition. The role will also support project teams in integrating change management activities into their project plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply a structured methodology and lead change management activities;
- Apply change management process and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by the projects/initiatives;
- Work within the project team to design, develop, deliver and manage stakeholder engagement and communications;
- Conduct impact analysis, assess change readiness and identify key stakeholders;
- Provide input, document requirements and support the design and delivery of training programs;
- Complete change management assessments. Identify, analyse and prepare risk mitigation tactics. Track and report issues;
- Identify and manage anticipated resistance;
- Consult and coach project teams on change management activities;
- Create actionable deliverables for the five change management levers: communications plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan, resistance management plan;
- Integrate change management activities into project and risk mitigation plans;
- Evaluate and ensure user readiness. Manage stakeholders and provide advice, as required, to senior management;
- Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress; and
- Manage the change portfolio.
Your Skills and Experience:
Within the context of the role described above, the ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key experience/capabilities:
- Minimum of three years' experience in a similar Change Analyst or Change Manager role. This is an exciting opportunity to be mentored by experienced leaders who will help you diversify your experience;
- Proven experience with large-scale organizational change efforts (exposure to IT systems projects that impact business process is highly advantageous);
- A solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process;
- Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools and phases of the project lifecycle;
- You will be authentic, self-aware, emotionally mature and a team player with high energy;
- You will have exemplary stakeholder engagement skills and will be a natural influencer and relationship builder at executive level;
- You will be action orientated and collaborative with a strong orientation to outstanding service; and
- Above all else, you will have a friendly, positive attitude with strong presentation and facilitation skills.
