About the Job
As Senior Change Manager your role is to support the execution of change programs at work in partnership with Rest Strategic Delivery Team, and enterprise stakeholders.
This role is expected to work across various delivery methods (both agile and waterfall), working closely with project managers, product owners, project/delivery leads. This role works across multiple projects as part of a broader portfolio.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
- Apply a structured approach to organisational change management, ensuring articulation of scope, benefits and business outcomes of change required.
- Drive the adoption of solutions and benefits realisation through the end-to-end design and product delivery lifecycle through delivery of change strategy and plans across the portfolio of changes.
- Take an active and senior role in maturing the change practice within Rest to ensure focus on people and successful transition to business as usual, working with Business Analysts to ensure requirements are clear and process maps are reflective of end-to-end business processes; project managers to ensure change activities are integrated in the schedule and Business Owners to ensure ownership and collaboration from early in the project lifecycle.
- Implementation of change management plans, change management artefacts, communications, impact assessments and business readiness activities including process maps and working with the business teams to complete procedure documentation.
- Provide guidance to Change Review Forums/and of Organisational Change Team on change requests to ensure change is clearly understood and can be effectively prioritised, consider associated impacts to teams, change risks or issues, business resourcing requirements.
- Provide expertise, direct support and coaching to impacted business managers and frontline staff as they move through the change.
- Work with Project and Business Teams to support the training and testing processes.
- Work closely with other members of the Rest Delivery Teams to understand project schedules and resource requirements of SMEs that can be tracked in a Change Impact Heatmap for presentation to Steering Committees and other governance forums as required.
- Prepare Status Reports for required Steering Committee and other governance forums.
- Contribute to the maturation of the Organisational Change Management Function within Rest through reporting and community of practice meetings.
- Own the standards and creation of change communication for the Rest directed organisation projects.
Key change management activities may include:
- Cross delivery stream change impact aggregation and management
- Assessing change impact for cross stream scope changes
- Consolidated change management plan including stakeholder management plan (project level view of stakeholders and potential cross stream overlaps)
- Project level communications plan and execution
- Identify training / education synergies across delivery streams.
- Work with executives, sponsors and other stakeholders to help drive the change outcomes.
- Assist with the definition of the people and cultural elements of the desired state and ensure that they are integrated with the technical and operational elements.
- Assist with identifying the human variables that will impact risk/success and provide support to put in place measurable criteria of those variables.
- Help identify the key roles and expectations of the sponsors of change, those who implement the changes, and the employee base who must operate in a constantly changing environment.
- Help building organisational change management knowledge, skill and competency at business and functional levels through active demonstration on projects
- Working across agile, waterfall and lean projects disciplines.
