Senior Client Accountant

CHEP NETWORK IS LOOKING FOR THE NEW BREED OF ACCOUNTANT

We are in search of a Senior Client Accountant to partner with client leads and agency staff and act as the go to team member for guidance across the agency for finance related enquiries. This role is a 15-month parental leave cover.

You will be able to perform a variety of financial and non-financial tasks across various clients, ensuring accuracy and correctness in revenue recognition and billings including management of all paperwork, reconciliations, and audit requirements.

The role requires the ability to coordinate multiple tasks at a time, working under pressure, prioritising tasks with a high degree of attention to detail whilst always maintaining accuracy. The role also involves staff training in accounting programs (Spectra) for Finance team members and the wider agency staff such as our Account Service and Tech teams.

HOW WILL WE KNOW YOU ARE THE ONE

Responsibilities

• Act as the Conduit between wider staff and finance department
• Lead monthly meetings with Account Service & Tech Teams
• Invoice preparation including distribution of Production and Media invoices direct to clients.
• Mid-month flash and Month end revenue reporting and analysis
• Retainer spend tracking and reconciliations including Tableau uploads
• Revenue forecasting, reviewing timesheets and preparing of various reports for internal analysis
• WIP Reporting of Debit and Credit balances
• Spectra maintenance for negotiated pricing, client cost types, product, and campaign codes
• Training of Account Service, finance, and Tech Teams on JDR's and using Spectra/Aura
• Provide support to finance team where necessary

Capabilities

• Confidence and openness in dealing with finance team, agency staff, client leads
• Demonstrate the willingness to go the extra mile; be honest and considerate in all dealings
• Ideally Accounting/Business degree qualification or alternatively previous Advertising Agency experience in a similar role
• Great communications skills both verbal and written required
• Experience in Spectra - Agency Finance system (Desired not essential)
• Excel Skills - VLookup & Pivot Tables
