As we scale our business across Australia, New Zealand and EMEA, we are looking for a proven sales professional who can grow our client portfolio with quality clients looking to unlock the full potential of their data via cloud transformation, decisioning, ML and AI and product engineering.
About the role
As the Senior Client Director, you'll be at the forefront of our growth strategy. Your mission is to navigate the complex landscape of enterprise clients across Australia and New Zealand, positioning our professional services and enterprise data solutions as indispensable assets. You'll craft and execute new business development plans, build strong relationships, and drive new sales initiatives that align with organisational objectives.

Requirements
About You
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about working at the forefront with clients as a trusted advisor to shape their data engineering and uncover opportunities for their business and Simple Machines.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in over-achieving targets in selling professional services and enterprise data solutions to enterprise clients, with a strong portfolio of closed deals and revenue growth.
- New Business: Ability to go-to-market and build and convert a pipe of leading enterprises, scale ups and government organisations.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the enterprise data solutions landscape and custom software engineering, along with the ability to navigate complex sales cycles and procurement processes.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to devise and execute strategic business development plans, aligning market trends with organisational goals to drive growth.
- Communication and Negotiation Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, enabling effective engagement with diverse stakeholders and decision-makers.
Your background
- Experience: You boast a proven track record with 8+ years of experience in business development, sales, and client acquisition within the professional services and enterprise data solutions domain. You've conquered complex sales cycles and have a portfolio showcasing successful enterprise deals.
- Industry Know-How: You're well-versed in data and the latest trends, data technologies, and challenges faced by enterprises.
- Network and Relationships: Leveraging your extensive network, you've established robust relationships with C-level executives and decision-makers in various enterprises. You're adept at navigating organisational structures and understand how to tailor your approach to different stakeholders.
- Sales Strategy Expertise: You excel at developing and executing comprehensive business development strategies that align with organisational goals. You have a proven ability to identify market opportunities, set clear objectives, and drive initiatives that result in revenue growth and market expansion.
