The Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage is responsible for planning and managing land and heritage for all West Australians – now and into the future.
A new Climate Policy Unit has been established to proactively review how the Department works, embraces change and leads policy activities to deliver Department and State Government climate priorities.
We are seeking motivated and talented individuals with experience in a complex public policy environment, with the ability to build and sustain collaborative relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. Knowledge of current and emerging trends in Climate Policy, with experience in land use planning or land use management is desirable.
As the Senior Climate Policy Officer, you will formulate, implement and review complex land use planning and management policies and matters to ensure they incorporate climate response and adaption measures, as well as support the implementation of the Unified Natural Hazard Risk Mitigation Exploratory Decision support system tool for Western Australia.
