Job Description

Under the direction of the Head of Department for Clinical Psychology & Neuropsychology, this unique position will deliver, evaluate and extend the endorsed Psychological Wellbeing and Support framework for Health Care Workers (HCW) across Fiona Stanley Fremantle Hospitals Group. The position will see you act in the capacity of a Senior Clinical Psychologist within the Department of Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology delivering professional, specialised, psychological assessments, interventions, support and referrals for staff seeking assistance in managing psychological wellbeing in the context of work related stress/distress and critical events.

The position will assist in providing leave relief and clinical supervision within area(s) of clinical expertise requiring a high level of knowledge and competence working with complex psychological disorders within a hospital setting.

The practices will be in accordance with laws and ethical standards governing Psychological practice as per the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA), WA Health Code of Conduct and SMHS values, policies and guidelines.

Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) is a 783-bed tertiary hospital offering a range of health services including the State Rehabilitation Service, a comprehensive cancer centre, purpose-built mental health unit, maternity, paediatric and neonatal services, and the State Adult Burns Service. FSH also delivers specialised services such as heart and lung transplantations and hyperbaric medicine.
