South West Healthcare's Infant Child and Youth Mental Health Service (ICYMHS) is a specialist service for young people aged 0-25yrs and their families. With three embedded specialist streams: Infant Child and Family for 0-11 years old, and the Youth Streams for 12-25-year-olds consisting of the intake and short-term intervention and ongoing care streams.
About the role
Our Youth team is seeking passionate and dedicated Senior Clinician to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team of clinical specialists. The Senior Clinician is responsible for assisting the Manager, Team Leader and Psychiatrist in leading and coordinating Clinicians to provide high quality treatment, care and support in the Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Service. As we work together to achieve the best possible clinical outcomes for youth aged 12-25.
Under direction they are responsible for the coordination of daily clinical practices treatment planning, allocating cases and undertaking clinical interventions in an efficient and equitable manner.
Position overview
- Permanent, full time (80 hours per fortnight with a monthly ADO)

- Classification: Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 4, Occupational Therapist Grade 3, Social Worker Grade 3, or Psychologist Grade 3
- Salary Range: $99,606.00 - $119,324.00 pro rata, plus superannuation
This position is eligible for an incentive payment for rent, childcare, relocation costs and more, as part of the new workforce and incentive grants program administered by Rural Agency Workforce Victoria (RWAV) up to $10,000.
What you bring
- The successful applicant will have the ability to demonstrate excellent skills and broad experience in Mental Health clinical services, including a proven ability to work within a team based multi-disciplinary model.
- Working as part of a collaborative and highly skilled team of professionals, excellent verbal and written communication skills are also essential. A comprehensive understanding and knowledge of legislation, regulation and contemporary practice is a must.
- You will have one of the following: General APRAH registration as a Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, or Mental Health Nurse or AASW registration as an accredited Social Worker and hold the relevant tertiary qualification. and experience. For further information see our position description.
