Arrow Energy (“Arrow”) is an integrated coal seam gas (CSG) company, which develops gas fields, produces, and sells CSG, and generates electricity. We have safely and sustainably developed CSG since 2000 and supplied it commercially since 2004 – for both industrial use and power generation in Queensland, and for power generation in the east coast gas market.

Today, Arrow owns and operates Braemar 2, a 450-megawatt gas-fired power station south-west of Dalby and is developing the Surat Gas Project in western Queensland. Sanctioned in 2020, the Surat Gas Project’s first phase comprises more than 600 coal seam gas wells and will bring 5 trillion cubic feet of gas to market over 27 years.

To meet our growing demands, we are looking for a Senior Commercial Advisor to join our team.
The Role: Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the purpose of the role is to maximize the value and minimize risk of Arrow's Surat Basin assets through critical commercial contracts and relationships required for successful future the economic development of the Surat Basin Gas resource.
This is a Brisbane based position and will require occasional travel to our field operations as required, with plenty of notice.
In addition, you will:
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to consistently role model Arrow’s values, code of conduct, safety, and the environment.
- Establish positive and productive working relationships with key stakeholders.
- Model inclusive behaviours to create a safe environment where different views and perspectives are encouraged and valued.
- Support Arrow’s interests on the KNJV Operating Committee as alternate representative by being aware of Arrow’s obligations and commercial value from this Joint Venture and its relationships.
- Identify and support opportunities for value adding CSG related agreements from a commercial perspective by providing relevant analysis and maintaining relationship influencing skills.
- Demonstrate a high level of contractual compliance of the Surat Commercial Agreements with a deep and thorough understanding of the commercial complexity and obligations of Surat Basin Agreements.
- Support contract management activities for commercial agreements managed by the Commercial Department by developing Contract Management Plans and implement (or where required develop) appropriate contract management processes.
About You
You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to contribute to a high performing-team with a second-to-none focus on safety and integrity.
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:
- High level understanding of contractual risk allocation.
- An excellent grasp of contract law as it applies to commercial agreements.
- High level of organisational, communication, presentation, and managerial skills.
- Success in managing both contractor and key external stakeholder relations.
- Formal qualification in maths or other numeracy qualification is desirable.
