Senior Commercial Analyst

As we continue to invest in our capabilities, we have an opportunity for a Senior Commercial Analyst to join Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT) on a permanent full – time basis.Reporting to the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, you will join a team of four and will be responsible for the reporting and analysis of financial data. The successful applicant will work in an operational role within the accounting team, ensuring objectives and outcomes are met.Key Responsibilities include:Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate financial reports and management accounts, consistent with relevant standards and accounting principles.Meeting reporting deadlines.Preparation and co-ordination of the annual budgets for key operational streams as directed and ensuring that data integrity and version control is maintained.Responsibility for the finance related data in data warehouse and integration hubs.Assist in the design, applying high-quality outputs of the financial reporting module (e.g. Power BI, SQL database).Preparation of KPI Performance, profitability, and trend analysis reporting.Financial analysis of business units through various financial modelling.Monthly variance and cost analysis including commentary.Financial modelling of projects using BI tools.Assisting in the provision of financial data for prudential compliance and grant acquittals.Provide high quality analysis and feedback to managers and other stakeholders on specific projects or areas relating to the operational financial performance, budget and other established targets or KPI’s.Responsible for business partnering allocated business units, including:Thorough knowledge of the business unit’s operating models.Analysis of monthly results against budget and benchmarks.Assistance with annual budget and forecasts.Production of or assistance with commercial business case.Build excellent relationships with key staff and stakeholders.First point of contact for escalation of finance and commercial related matters.Selection Criteria:Australian citizenship or Permanent residency essential (We do not offer sponsorship for this position).Bachelor’s degree in accounting or commerce or similar.Notable experience in a Senior Commercial Analyst business partnering role working on transformation projects, process improvement and handling day to day operational requests from the business.Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills.Adept with BI and Adaptive Planning applications.Strong networking and stakeholder relationship building skills.Desirables:Expertise in project, business modelling and process improvement.Advanced skills in Epicor, Power BI and SQL databases.What’s in it for you?You will be joining a highly functional & experienced team.Opportunity to make a significant contribution to the business.Not-for-profit salary packaging benefits of up to $15,900 per year plus meal & entertainment to the value of $2,650.Convenient office location near Epping station and street parking.An extra paid day off at Christmas.Annual leave Loading.Discounted private health insurance.Wellbeing initiatives such as Reward and Recognition Program, Employee Assistance Program - our employee’s matter!.At Southern Cross Care we value every employee’s contribution – Our culture is underpinned by our HEART Values – Honesty, Empathy, Acceptance, Respect and Teamwork.
