About the role
We are currently seeking to engage a well-experienced individual to undertake the role of Senior Commercial Manager on our Westgate Project. The UGL team is responsible for executing engineering detailing, procurement, construction, and commissioning associated with the mechanical, fire, electrical and ITS systems across the entire project, which includes 6.8km of tunnels and 6km of elevated road.
This role is responsible for providing commercial and contractual expertise during the project delivery stage to ensure that projects are commercially successful whilst providing governance to the systems and processes to ensure compliance.
You will work with a team of driven and professional colleagues who encourage, support and deliver optimum results.
About the role
Lead all aspects of the Commercial function on this project. This includes:

• Development, implementation & delivery of strong Commercial governance and controls
• Direct interface with the customer at senior levels.
• Support & Governance of Procurement to ensure most cost-effective supply chain
• Coordinate commercial claim recoveries within the project
• Develop and mentor a commercial team ensuring a high standard of compliance, reporting and data integrity.

About you

• Relevant tertiary qualifications supported by proven commercial experience in a complex business
• Ability to understand complex commercial contracts and interpret and apply legislation for effective business outcomes
• Proven people leadership and team management skills
• Solid Influencing skills and the ability to achieve outcomes in an environment of managing complex stakeholder relationships, including key business partners
