We're hiring a Senior Commercial Manager at Toll Group to drive commercial success within our Retail Transport & Linehaul business. This is a full-time opportunity based in Eastern Creek with the flexibility to work from multiple sites across NSW!

A Day in the Life of a Senior Commercial Manager at Toll Group
- Collaborate closely with Retail Transport & Linehaul leadership and on-site teams to drive strategic planning and foster a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring our operations stay ahead of the curve.
- Lead annual budgeting and quarterly re-forecasting processes for Retail Transport & Linehaul vertical.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including analysis of performance and business trends.
- Lead the Transport & Linehaul commercial team which includes a mixture of Commercial, Admin and Operations Support team members.
- Develop, maintain, and distribute accurate KPIs and associated analysis in line with contractual obligations.
- Establish robust invoicing processes to ensure seamless revenue capture and enhance our working capital performance, driving financial health and stability.
- Provide strategic analysis and recommendations that fuel informed decision-making, maximizing profitability while mitigating risk across our Retail Transport & Linehaul operations.
- Navigate complex commercial landscapes with finesse, managing key elements such as Rise & Fall, Fuel Levy, and Incentives, all while safeguarding our interests with comprehensive insurance coverage.
- Collaborate on new business development, contract renewals, and contract change requests, including financial modeling, client management, and post-implementation reviews.
What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum 5 years experience in commercial finance.
- Experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Road Transport.
- Proficiency in advanced MS Excel and financial modeling.
- Strong analytical and commercial skills, including cost driver and productivity analysis.
- Previous CAPEX preparation experience valued between $1-10 million.
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls.
- Proven track record in people management.
- Experience in contract negotiations (customer and/or supplier).
- A valid driver's license (car) is essential.
- Familiarity with Power BI is desirable.
