As a Senior Commercial Specialist in this 6 month fixed term contract, this role leads and drives the creation of the overall financial and planning strategy, is key to its successful execution, and is directly responsible for business operational outcomes and success.
To be successful in the role, you will need to have demonstrated experience in managing complex Capex and Opex portfolio’s, understanding of the funding model, macro and micro analysis of costs & trends and execute on initiatives
Your key deliverables will be:
- Own and assist the entire end-to-end planning (predominantly Capex but will also include Opex) for the SE&IT group for in-year and 2–3-year horizon. This includes developing and leading the annual capex budget of ~$200-$400M and supporting the operating budget of ~$350M per annum, which underpins $10-12B in revenues with about 6000 people who directly flow into the group.
- Implement the new funding model shift across SE&IT.
- Lead and manage the monthly Business Finance Review reporting, including producing BPR (business performance review) materials to report on the SE&IT Group’s current performance and forecast and action plan.
- Lead and manage the Capex program for all SE&IT groups.
- Work with Product Owners (PO’s), Group Scrum leads (GSL) and Group Owners (GO) on project financials.
- Lead all areas related to Capex and CROpex activities for SE&IT which includes planning, reporting, and management.
- Ensure IT resilience, management and Regulatory requirements are represented in various appropriate forums.
- Ensure all WIP, TCO, and T-Profit data is managed for SE&IT.
- Collaborate on executive briefing papers (E.g. CEOLT narratives)
- Act as the leading subject matter expert in an area of skill and provide coaching as appropriate.
- Engage in ongoing reviews of business processes and systems to ensure the company’s evolving corporate objectives are met.
- Represent SE&IT in various capex, investment forums as required.
- Lead cross-functional teams in the design, development, and deployment of analysis and programs of work to deliver business requirements maintaining a company-wide view.
- Drive financial discipline based on the funding model across SE&IT for both Capex and Opex.
- Work with the entire SE&IT P&I team mission team to provide the SE&IT Group level financial and operational reporting, strategic insights, and commercial governance.
- Significantly contribute by providing advice, counsel, and recommendations to Executives and senior leaders on setting strategic priorities and opportunities to improve financial and operational efficiency through having shared accountability for the overall delivery.
- Advise the leadership team on financial and commercial matters to aid in forward planning and decision-making.
- Demonstrated experience in financial management and business planning management
- Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

- Time management skills

- Experience in using Microsoft Power BI is an advantage
