Summary
The Smart Energy Council (SEC) is expanding its team and is in search of a seasoned marketing and communications professional to contribute to the success of the organisation.
We have a great opportunity for a full-time Marketing and Communications all-rounder. You will have strong experience and be ready to step into a role that uses your established experience and skills, or you may be ready to take the next step with more responsibility and ownership of marketing and communications activities.
You will be responsible for creating digital assets and implementing digital activities to continue growing the Smart Energy Council’s mindshare, brand and online presence.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Communications, the successful applicant will join a small, busy team in this important role where no two days will be the same. Your technical and design skills will be critical, as will your ability to write well to ensure our digital materials are fit for purpose and meet the needs of our members and external stakeholders.
Supporting all areas of the business, in marketing, promotion, presentation and support, this is a very hands on role, with lots of fun and reward in seeing your work achieve the results we all strive for at Smart Energy Council.
Key responsibilities
Help build a marketing strategy and running it through to execution.
Assist in creating and editing written, graphic, digital, and video content according to the Smart Energy Council’s brand guidelines.
Devise and drive the implementation of marketing and communications activities for members
Design and develop high quality and effective print materials and collateral, including guides, brochures, DL flyers and posters
Contribute to and grow the company’s social media presence
Assist with database driven e-marketing campaigns
Data Entry for Marketing and Sales Databases
Maintenance of Member Databases
Maintenance of SEC websites, working closely with the development team
Assist with General Administration / Office Support duties where required.
About you:
Degree or diploma in marketing, advertising or digital marketing is welcomed but not required with relevant work experience.
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power point)
Website CMS Experience – WordPress Elementor highly desirable
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere) highly desirable
Experience in Social Media Platforms
Working well in a team environment and a willingness to learn on the go.
Can have fun and engage the close support the broader SEC network across the country/world.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Satisfactorily completion of reference check and Australian police check in accordance with Smart Energy Council Policy.
