What you will do as the Senior Communications Officer, Creative Services
This position is responsible for providing graphic design and multimedia services across the AER. This will include maintaining the AER’s visual style guide, as well as designing materials for print, social and digital media such as reports, presentations, fact sheets, infographics, campaigns and videos.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Provide graphic design solutions from creation to completion for print and digital, using Adobe software packages, including documents, infographics, animation, video and audio production.
- Manage and maintain an AER image library.
- Provide branding advice in line with government requirements and other related principles and requirements.
- Apply best-practice industry standards around design and multimedia solutions.
In order to succeed in the role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualification and demonstrated professional experience in graphic design (print and digital), multimedia production, and brand development and management.
- Demonstrated ability working with stakeholders to understand a brief and provide high-quality solutions.
- Strong creative skills, including the ability to understand and simplify complex concepts and provide design and multimedia communication solutions.
- Strong experience working with Adobe Creative Suite and other design and multimedia software, including report layout in InDesign.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organise and prioritise in a fast-paced environment, while delivering quality outputs and managing Creative Services workflow.
- Experience building and managing effective working relationships with stakeholders and suppliers to achieve agency goals.
- Experience working in a government context and/or working with presenting data is highly desirable.
