The City is seeking two Senior Community Health Officers to undertake all environmental/public health duties while specialising in different areas. These are senior roles that embrace a culture of teamwork, innovation, improvement, and respect.
These positions will undertake:
Senior Community Health Officer (Noise)
The Senior Community Health Officer (Noise) operates under limited direction and is responsible for supporting the Coordinator Health Compliance in providing leadership and technical expertise from an environmental/public health perspective with the administration of Council strategies, policies, procedures, and guidelines relating to environmental noise and the WA Environmental Protection (Noise) Regulations 1997.
Senior Community Health Officer (Events)The Senior Community Health Officer (Events) operates under limited direction and is responsible for supporting the Coordinator Health Approvals in providing leadership and technical expertise from an environmental/public health perspective with the administration of WA Public Health Act 2016, WA Food Act 2008, WA Environment Protection Act 1986, and other relevant legislation, and Council strategies, policies, procedures, and guidelines relating to events.
