The role:
You will join a highly successful Corporate Tax team, working with an array of corporate clients advising across the complex Australian tax landscape.

This role will suit someone from an advisory background, big4 or mid-tier firm. Or, an individual with proven experience working in a corporate in-house tax team.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and provide guidance on tax consulting matters, encompassing areas such as tax consolidation, treaties, hybrid mismatches, Controlled Foreign Companies (CFCs), withholding taxes, thin capitalization, and permanent establishments.
- Conduct analysis on technical tax issues, compiling comprehensive tax reports as needed.
- Perform research and offer support in crafting advice and conducting calculations relating to international tax complexities.
- Support clients throughout ATO reviews, governance affairs, and audits, while also engaging with the ATO to secure rulings on behalf of clients.
- Prepare corporate and trust tax returns, including consolidated filings, catering to a diverse clientele of large corporations.
- Aid clients in navigating complex M&A, offering expertise in tax structuring and conducting thorough tax due diligence services.
- Review and prepare tax-effect accounting calculations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Work alongside the leadership to support client development activity including proposal creation, client meetings and presentation activities.
- Minimum 18 months of professional experience within Australian Corporate Tax
- Your experience can be garnered from within an advisory firm, either big four or a mid tier practice. Alternatively, anyone from an industry background with hands on tax knowledge is encouraged to apply.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Working towards or holding your CTA, CPA or CA qualification, or equivalent overseas accreditation.
- A self-starter with a "hands-on," can-do attitude
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Proactive approach with a keen desire to learn and implement best practices
- Excellent attention to detail
