Senior Consultant - Global Business Operations And Strategy

The Business Operations group exists to make sure that the people, processes and priorities are in place to help Xero operate as a world-class technology company. It is more critical than ever that our operational teams are able to execute effectively to deliver our company strategy and that our functional resources are clearly aligned to enable these teams to do their best work.
Working closely with the Head of Global Business Operations and your peers, you will help drive and optimise how we execute Business Operations globally and across all functions. This team leads Xero's annual planning process, supports the operationalisation of our company OKRs and provides support to functional teams across Xero (e.g. Legal, Finance, People Experience, Strategy and Business Operations).
What you will do...

• Collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders on key company wide processes (e.g. contributing to the design of the annual planning process) and help to drive the project management of these activities.
• Help to drive the execution of projects and initiatives across the company (e.g. transformational programs across all of Xero etc.)
• Develop well thought-through tools, frameworks and tactics which will help teams to prioritise outcomes and ultimately deliver on Xero's strategic priorities and objectives.
• Apply structured and hypothesis driven approaches to break down complex and diverse problems.
• Use concise and impactful written communication to senior management and key stakeholders to make the complex simple, and enable decisions and invoke action.
• Proactively contribute to team initiatives and working practices, helping to build a collaborative and highly effective team

What you'll bring with you...

• 3+ years of experience in Strategy or Operational roles.
• Consulting experience preferred.
• Experience delivering insightful recommendations that have been implemented and delivered true benefit to the business.
• Experience in teams performing complex cross-enterprise projects with multiple stakeholders at both senior and junior levels (e.g. long-term strategy, internal consulting engagements, and projects that lend a strategic perspective to immediate business opportunities).
• Demonstrated ability to communicate insights through presentations tailored to the relevant audience.
• Experience in workshop facilitation / delivery in various formats (e.g. virtual, in person).
• Understanding of the SaaS and/or accounting and professional services industry, preferred.
• Passion for exploring and understanding SaaS, new technologies, business models, and their potential impact on the competitive environment
