Higher Education? If you answered yes, then we should talk! Ellucian is currently looking to add a Senior Professional Service Consultants with SIS implementation or upgrade experience to our team.
As one of our most senior professional services team members, you will be instrumental in consulting with our customers and delivering value add services that provide the quickest path to institutional success. Higher education customers are transforming to modern campuses while leveraging technology and solutions to enable student success. In this mission critical role, you will partner with our customers to help enable their business office to process student administration and student accounts including transformation to cloud/SAAS solutions and ensure successful adoption of these solutions.
Where you will make an impact Work with the customers to receive project details and translate them to design / code /Deployment guide. Schedule and conduct meetings with customer representatives to understand their requirements and capture those requirements accurately for use in downstream phases of the software development life cycle.
Propose architectures that are cost-effective and in line with Ellucian’s desired product direction. Be able to identify appropriate technologies for the architecting and designing the solution. Create and execute accurate test plans to ensure thorough integration testing done before delivery.
Prepare accurate and detailed estimates for integrations and sales proposals. Demonstrate aptitude for logical application of problem-solving techniques. Ability to deconstruct complex technical issues to identify root cause issues.
Stay current with Ellucian applications and technologies. Acting as a thought leader for our APAC implementations, able to lead and influence client teams at all levels from integration perspective. Providing advice and guidance on industry best practices for integration, working with technical leadership and staff in universities to ensure the proven practices are followed for building integrations or APIS.
Supporting customers and providing advisory on the latest and greatest integration technologies. Provide project guidance and coordination with global integration engineers to complete projects on time and within budget constraints. Prepare concise technical documents that accurately describe project requirements and specifications for delivery.
Work with a dynamic team of developers and other peers to Architect, build and test the processes according to the prepared specifications. Additional Responsibilities Communicates effectively and credibly with technical as well as functional staff, including those responsible for the execution of day-to-day operations through to those at the managerial and executive levels. Ability to manage client expectations, ensure completion of engagements within an agreed-upon time-frame, and resolve client issues relating to the implementation of Ellucian’s solutions.
Consistently exceed expectations and responds promptly and professionally to client requests, seeking guidance as appropriate. Leverages knowledge and prior experience to develop, present, and defend rational conclusions, recommendations and implementation strategies. Anticipates and resolves software problems and solves difficult challenges with only occasional need for assistance from others.
Tracks formal questions and answers regarding requirements, business process, and desired outcomes. Communicates effectively internally through written reports, regular meetings and teleconferences, keeping management and coworkers apprised of software and customer issues that impact the successful and smooth deployment of Ellucian solutions. Travels routinely to customer sites to deliver services; travels periodically for internal training.
What you will bring 10+ years of experience working with the following application development frameworks e.g.: AngularJS, React.js, Lambda, CloudWatch, Document DB, ECS, and Terraform 6+ years of experience in web service development and integration patterns using REST or SOAP, JMS messaging, Request/Reply, and Pub/Submodels. 4+ Complex Integration Architecture and design experience Ability to keep up with new product functionalities as they become available as well as the ability to train others on new functionality. Demonstrated presentation skills and professional communication skills (written and verbal).
Ability to perform effectively in a work environment that requires hard work, has periods of tight deadlines, and where change is embraced as a method of continuous improvement. Experience working independently with little direction and still achieve goals as well as working remotely in a team environment via phone and other electronic communication tools. Proven Ability to use appropriate skills in the areas of: project coordination, multi-tasking, prioritization of demands, conflict management, decision making tools & techniques, group discussion, training, facilitation, decision-making, communication, and time management.
Demonstrated experience in consulting and/or training and development; system implementation, and requirements gathering is beneficial. Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills with credibility to influence senior client stakeholders at client site and industry events. Proven Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
The candidate is expected to be from Melbourne and ready to travel to other interstate / international locations if necessary to meet the customers. Impact of the Role Accountable for all aspects related to Integration Architecture and integration development service delivery. Collaborate with consulting teams and peers to ensure customer and Ellucian project expectations are exceeded.
Identify and remediate issues that impede enabling customer success. Drive innovative and transformative strategies which will ensure successful SaaS implementations. Continuously improve the customer experience by collaborating with the regional and global Ellucian teams.
Proactively prepare for and deliver high quality implementation consulting services. Success will be measured by customer satisfaction, achievement of projects, and utilization targets. Consult with customers to drive performance improvement, own problems, execute with precision, and professionalism.
