The opportunity:

We are sourcing a Senior Consultant - Strategy Execution to support the Head of Strategy Execution, to ensure that the initiatives and investment decisions align to AIA Australia's strategic priorities and the initiative's benefits are realised.

This is a fantastic opportunity to drive the execution of ambitious critical initiatives and to help build the capability of the relatively new Strategy Execution function. This function has an enterprise-wide scope with projects encompassing Growth, Customer Experience, Digital, Analytics and Operational Excellence.

To do this optimally you will:

  • Support the operation of the Strategic Investment Committee (SIC), which comprises of the CEO, CSIDO, CFO, CTO and CRO
  • Support in facilitating the prioritisation of enterprise-wise strategic investments based on organisational priorities, emerging opportunities and execution challenges
  • Rollout and ongoing management of the enterprise-wide benefits management framework
  • Review business cases and be a collaborative challenger to ensure high-quality cases for discussion by SIC
  • Liaise with projects to mentor in respect of SIC process, funding, benefits and key measures as they relate to the strategic plan
  • Work with Executives, Program Sponsors and Project Managers to ensure benefits outlined in the cases are strategically aligned, measurable and assessable
  • Develop the consolidated view of strategic investment costs, benefits, critical metrics and project outcomes for the senior leadership
  • Collaborate across the organisation to challenge and influence a wide range of partners
  • Work optimally with the senior executives from Group Office (Hong Kong).

Successful applications will demonstrate:

  • Transformation experience gained from Financial Services sector, preferably in group-wide or enterprise-wide role
  • Strategy or Management Consulting experience with financial services clients
  • Commercially astute with experience in developing and reviewing business cases
  • Portfolio/Program management and delivery skills
  • Experience working with the Finance function and project delivery teams to develop enterprise view of the strategic investment portfolio
  • Knowledge of key drivers of the life and health markets in Australia
  • Strong skills in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Establish and maintain customer relationships through effective communication, negotiation, and issues management.
