The position is located collaboratively within a dynamic and multidisciplinary team of strategic planners and heritage experts. The position contributes to the team’s Heritage Advisory services that promote excellence in cultural and built heritage outcomes across the City.
The role contributes to a broad range of heritage services, with a focus on statutory and strategic heritage functions, including heritage assessments for development applications and heritage minor works approvals, building conservation advice and strategic heritage planning input. The role may require the provision of authoritative advice on heritage matters to management.
The position requires:
Tertiary qualifications in architecture, heritage conservation or related discipline, and demonstrated skills in design.
Demonstrated ability and experience in assessing heritage-related development applications and the provision of specialist heritage advice. Complex problem-solving skills, particularly in relation to architectural, heritage, and urban design issues, within a multi-disciplinary environment.
Strong knowledge and experience in NSW environmental planning legislation including heritage legislation and local and state government legislation and regulations, and heritage conservation best practice.
Remuneration: base salary commencing at $97,535 gross per annum
+ 11% superannuation
+ performance payment 1% - 3.5% annual salary
+ annual award increase
