We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join the team as a Senior Contract Administrator, with the opportunity to transition to a flagship development project in Sydney after an initial 6-month period. This role is pivotal in managing the financial and commercial aspects of the construction projects, ensuring accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commercial Management: Oversee all financial aspects of the project, including subcontractor agreements, tender packages, scope of works, and methodologies.
- Cost Reporting & Forecasting: Conduct regular cost reporting and forecasting to ensure the project remains within budget.
- Risk Management: Identify and manage potential risks to the project.
- Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative and educational work environment.
- Documentation Management: Handle RFIs, purchase/work orders, and all other documentation related to project expenditure.
- Educational Background: Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, or a relevant field.
- Professional Experience: At least 5 years of experience as a Contract Administrator with a tier 1 or tier 2 head contractor or developer builder.
- Technical Skills: High proficiency in contract management and negotiation, coupled with strong technical and local construction knowledge.
- Project Experience: Demonstrated good tenure with a minimum of 2-3 projects per job role, showcasing stability and dedication.
- Financial Acumen: Strong cost management skills, respected and reflected in professional references.
- Forward-Thinking: Ambition, foresight, and a drive to grow into a Contracts Manager role.
- On-Site Presence: This role requires being based on-site to effectively manage all project aspects.
