My client is a leading construction firm specializing in commercial new and fit-out and refurb projects. With a rich history of delivering high-quality, innovative solutions, they are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Contract Administrator to join their team and contribute to the success of our dynamic projects.
Position Overview:
As a Senior Contract Administrator in the commercial new build sector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contract management, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to collaborate with diverse project teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Management: Lead the contract administration process, including drafting, negotiation, and execution of contracts for commercial new build projects.
- Budget Oversight: Work closely with project managers to monitor project budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities and ensuring financial goals are achieved.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks associated with contracts, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and industry standards.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation, including change orders, submittals, and correspondence.
- Client Liaison: Foster strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any concerns or modifications to the contract.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, architects, and subcontractors, to facilitate effective communication and project delivery.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to contractual obligations, local regulations, and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Contract Administrator in the commercial new build sector.
- In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, legal requirements, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 5 YEARS LOCAL EXPERIENCE!
