We are seeking a Senior Contracts Administrator to work on upcoming Rail/Civil projects with DT Infrastructure.
This position will support our Commercial Manager & Senior Quantity Surveyor, to deliver commercial outcomes across multiple projects. Currently based out of Canning Vale, we are soon to move to a new office in Perth CBD.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Contract Practice
- Knowledge of contracts and standard forms of contract
- Understand rights and obligations
- Procurement
- Ability to collate tender packages and issue to market
- Manage issue and receipt of tender submissions
- Complete tender analysis and comparison
- Prepare recommendation for award
- Ability to draft contract documentation
- Quantification and costing
- Ability to quantify construction works at various stages of project
- Ability to assess submissions in cost for construction works
- Subcontract administration
- Draft and issue instructions and correspondence under the subcontract
- Management of accurate records
- Draft and issue requests for variation and manage associated variation process
- Job creation, raising purchase orders and cross checking against invoices
- Processing payments to construction/supplier partners
- Maintaining and updating the invoice register
- Head Contract Administration
- Management of client proof of presence system
- Contribute towards preparation of variation submissions
- Contribute towards progress claim inputs
- Maintain correspondence registers and good record keeping practices
- Cost Control and Reporting
- Implement effective control of costs during delivery (material registers, docket registers)
- Understand earned value principles
- Liaise with partners to establish cost to complete and contribute to monthly cost forecasts
- Risk Management
- Understand the effect of risk on program and cost
ABOUT YOU
- Tertiary qualification in construction management or quantity surveying;
- Proven contracts administration experience within a large organisation and high attention to detail;
- Proven experience in the preparation of contract agreements;
- Sound commercial acumen and judgement
- Knowledge of the infrastructure market sectors (Rail or Civil will be highly regarded)
- Working knowledge of project management principles and project control applications
- Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and SharePoint
- Good working knowledge of JDE or SAP is preferred but not essential and/or knowledge of project financial reporting tools
- Sound working knowledge of risk management principles and application of process
- Collaborative communication style with the ability to work effectively as a member of a team
- High level of self-discipline, self-motivation, energy and initiative
