Senior Corporate Accountant

A prestigious Australian Investment Management firm within the Melbourne CBD is looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join a small finance function which supports a complex investment business.. Working in a highly calibre boutique office environment, you will have exposure to investments across Private and Unlisted Investments, Private Equity, and Real Estate. The role will report directly to the CFO and work alongside a team responsible for fund accounting and other accounting operational activities. 
  
The role will include but is not be limited to the following key responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation of monthly management reports using investment reporting system and excel;
• Take responsibility for annual budget and forecast reporting and analysis 
• Liaise with the outsourced service provider to oversea production of outsourced accounting activities 
• Manage audits process and compliance reporting to regulators 
• Preparation and completion of all tax requirements including income and payroll, FBT, BAS and GST requirements
• Payroll and associated tax and reporting obligations

The individual will need to be CPA or CA qualified (or equivalent) self-motivated, responsive, organised, have the ability to meet deadlines, and the ability to work in a small team, with a flexible attitude to change and develop processes. Experience in investments and wealth management is certainly preferred as the role will deal with complex investment structures which will take time adapt to. Candidate who are looking to leave a practice environment servicing private clients or working in an outsourced CFO office will also be highly regarded.
