Senior Corporate Officer

We are looking for a Senior Corporate Officer to drive performance excellence through planning, goal setting and measurement, and the proactive identification and implementation of initiatives to optimise the operations of the agency.
This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent organisation and analytical skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. You understand the importance of policies, procedures, and standards to support effective governance and risk management to protect the organisations interests and enhance its resilience.

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

• Contribute to the development of performance frameworks and methodologies to align operations activities and implement business strategies to enhance agency performance to achieve objectives.
• Develop and maintain policies, procedures and standards related to governance and operational practices aligned with organisational goals, regulation and business best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement solutions to improve operational efficiency.
• Manage risk registers and ensure risks are managed effectively and align with internal control frameworks, policies and regulatory requirements.
• Provide executive support to the Audit and Risk Committee and support the effective governance of the Tourism Tasmania Board.
• Manage Tourism Tasmania's Service Level Agreement with Department of State Growth for the effective delivery of corporate services.

Period of Appointment:
Fixed term, flexible (0.8FTE minimum) for 3 years.
