About the role
The Senior Project Manager is responsible and accountable for InfraBuild project delivery performance in NSW and ACT for the supply of reinforcing steel, and its associated products and services. This role is pivotal in managing and executing the key obligations and opportunities of our contracts and providing front line customer service to our Tier 1 clients. This role is based out of St Marys.
Your responsibilities include:
• Manage the largest residential high rise and major infrastructure projects in NSW end to end, from mobilisation through to project close out
• Provide mentorship to a team of 4 x Project Managers and a Project Engineer with respect to formulating and presenting project budgets, programs, work breakdown structures and project phasing and close out
• Oversee the continuous improvement of our processes and internal support and stakeholder interfaces
• Implement and track project governance plans, monthly implementation reviews and project P&L’s to ensure our customer obligations are met, and profitable growth is achieved.
• Develop high level, strong customer relationships within the team and for yourself to manage project issues, critical matters and achieve positive project outcomes.
• New product introductions and identification of project risks and opportunities
• Manage the project delivery administration team to ensure all claims and disputes are resolve in a timely fashion
• Work within WHS policies and procedures, along with workplace and Australian standardsAbout your experience
You will be passionate and enthusiastic about the engineering construction industry and InfraBuild’s offering. Your previous leadership experience in the building industry, or a related construction industry, and intimate knowledge of major infrastructure project life cycles and the clients that construct them is paramount to your success in this role.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
• A strong sales and customer centricity background
• Strong leadership experience with the ability to motivate others through expertise and action
• Project Management experience within the construction industry, and experience with supply contracts
• Strong commercial and financial acumen and experience forecasting, formulating and controlling budgets
• Knowledge and understanding of the Australian Standards and key construction system techniques
• Strong critical thinking, reasoning and decision making skills
• Ability to work on multi-disciplinary projectsAbout our team
