What we are looking for 

UNICEF Australia is looking for a Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager - Business Development reporting to Head of Corporate to play a critical role in securing strategic partnerships. The role will lead the development and execution of comprehensive fundraising strategies, leveraging your expertise in prospecting, negotiations and relationship building. Your leadership and strategic vision will inspire your team of three to achieve targets and grow UNICEF Australia’s partnership portfolio. 

Your day will include

  • Optimise and execute the Business Development strategy in collaboration with the Head of Corporate 
  • Lead and support the Business Development team and contribute to UNCEF Australia’s organisational strategy 
  • Initiate and lead significant new business opportunities and stay abreast of the evolving external landscape to identify and leverage emerging partnership models and creative fundraising initiatives 
  • Monitor and report on new business activity and KPI’s 
  • Develop communication strategies that aid prospecting initiatives and enhance UNICEF Australia’s presence within the corporate sector 
  • Represent UNICEF to external audiences, including speaking at relevant events and conferences 
 
We would like you to have the following skills and experience
  • Minimum 4 years experience managing complex Business Development programs, or a relevant sales and marketing position as well as experience in managing high performing teams. Not for profit experience is desired but not essential 
  • Extensive network of corporate relationships within the Australian market is highly desirable 
  • Knowledge of the external fundraising environment, international development, corporate trends/challenges is highly desirable 
  • A passionate and energetic team member with a genuine interest in working in the international aid and development sector 
  • Capacity to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and cohesion towards shared fundraising goals, as well as providing strategic direction and support to team members 
  • Proven success in using a range of strategies and approaches to secure financial commitments 
  • Experience of strategic planning, pipeline management, developing and monitoring annual plans, income and expenditure budgets 
  • Strong communication skills with demonstrated experience of presenting at the executive level and managing multiple stakeholders
