AddressPlanned Resources are seeking a Development Engineer to join a dynamic and innovative municipal on a short-term contract.
As a Development Engineering Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in offering expert guidance throughout the strategic planning, statutory development, subdivision, and building approval processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the meticulous review of Engineering Plans, Environmental Management Plans, and assessments related to traffic, drainage, and subdivision referrals for planning and development applications.
- Conduct comprehensive engineering evaluations of town planning, subdivision, and building proposals, providing timely responses to related referrals.
- Collaborate closely with the Team Leader and Lead Development Engineer, offering valuable support on all relevant Subdivision and Development Engineering matters.
- Assume responsibility for approving all Development Engineering affairs designated to this role under Council’s Deed of Delegation.
- Swiftly address Development Engineering inquiries and actively participate in collaborative sessions with internal stakeholders, external entities, and relevant bodies.
- Extend guidance and assistance to planning and development staff, offering expertise on Development Engineering concerns whenever necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; Professional Engineers Registration would be considered an advantage
- Proven experience in project management and Development Engineering/proposals.
- Excellent communication and consultation skills with knowledge of new development and capital works projects.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
