Role Overview:
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of new development and value-added projects. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Your leadership and strategic vision will be instrumental in driving the success of our projects and fostering positive relationships with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive industry and investment-related research to inform decision-making processes.
• Collaborate with leasing and acquisition teams to prepare development and value-added feasibility studies.
• Support due diligence processes for developments and investments before acquisition.
• Identify and articulate clear development objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Develop detailed development programs, including cost and revenue budgets and cash flows.
• Prepare comprehensive Development Briefs outlining project objectives, design briefs, financing details, and more.
• Manage the preparation of consultant and contractor briefs, evaluate nominations, and administer progress claims.
• Provide leadership and guidance to design and construction teams, resolving issues and conflicts as they arise.
• Oversee the management of statutory authority applications and procurement of necessary approvals.
• Establish and maintain effective communication channels with clients, tenants, and stakeholders throughout development.
• Ensure compliance with client briefs and manage variations effectively.
• Procure final certifications and documentation and arrange satisfactory handovers.
• Maintain monthly reporting and forecasting of project KPIs.
Skills & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in project management, engineering, architecture, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in property development in the commercial & retail industry (required).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve project goals.
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise tasks effectively.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry best practices.
