About the role
As part of the Building and Release Tool Team, you will help to build, problem-solve, and operate a self-service, reliable, secure, automated, and performant Cloud platform. The Displayr Cloud platform enables application development and data science teams to deliver features with ease and confidence.
- Build, operate, and evolve the Displayr Cloud platform using IaC.
- Migrate existing services and deploy them into production.
- Build production-ready Kubernetes environments.
- Manage cloud costs, including management of reserved VM instances.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our CI/CD pipelines.
- Uplift our in-house testing system.
- Improve infrastructure and application observability.
- Automate monitoring and alerting.
- Improve the incident response process.
- Provide support and advocate to stakeholders on DevOps practices.
- Assist with management and governance of infrastructure resources.
- Working on call as part of a rotating roster.
About You
Essential:
- Minimum five years total working as a DevOps engineer including either;
- 2+ years of commercial software development experience and .NET and Typescript are preferred, or
- 2+ years' experience in managing a major cloud - ideally Azure.
Desirable:
- Experience with Kubernetes and its ecosystem. Such as AKS, Service Mesh, Helm, and container-based deployment.
- Exposure to cloud-based deployment environment.
- Knowledge and experience with IaC tools and ecosystems such as Pulumi, CDK, and Terraform.
- Experience with major cloud-based CI platforms such as CircleCI, and GitHub Actions.
- Experience in cloud resources and application monitoring in production.
- Experience in service operation review and post-mortem review.
- Working knowledge of IaaS. Such as load balancing, networking, firewall, and server management.
- Knowledge of security best practices in a cloud environment.
- Cloud cost management.
- Technical writing skills.
- Azure certifications.
