- This role involves conducting complex investigations into cyber incidents, providing expert analysis, and delivering actionable insights to help our clients improve their security posture
- Analysing technical data quickly to triage breaches and understand root causes and impacts
- Contributing to sophisticated, polished and readable reports for our valued client base of top-tier law firms, financial institutions and multi-national corporations;
- Respond to complex cyber incidents, including ransomware, data breaches, malware infections, email compromises, insider threats, and other security breaches experienced by our clients.
- Conduct in-depth investigations on various platforms and devices to identify the extent of compromises and potential threat actors.
- Utilise security tools, software, and methodologies to gather and analyse digital evidence, reconstructing incident timelines, and producing detailed assessments for internal and external stakeholders.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Cybersecurity, Forensics, Legal and IT teams, to ensure well-rounded and informative incident response efforts.
- Stay current with the latest cyber threats, attack techniques, and threat actor trends
- A keen interest in cybersecurity either offensive or defensive, with a desire to progress a career with an international cybersecurity consultancy.
- Tertiary qualifications in cybersecurity or similar technology discipline
- 4 - 5+ years' experience as an incident responder, or technical investigator, particularly as it relates to investigating largescale cybersecurity incidents such as ransomware.
- Ideally you will have (or working towards) one of the following cybersecurity certifications (e.g., GCIH, CISSP or CREST)
- Proven problem-solving skills and technical expertise, demonstrated across multiple technologies. You will be comfortable investigating and working within technical domains such as Windows and Linux system administration, identity management, network management and virtualisation.
