This organisation is a highly respected leader within the financial services sector in Australia with a focus on complex transactions typically capturing the Renewable Energy, Mining or Natural Resource sectors.
An exceptional opportunity for a Senior Manager/Junior Associate Director within Institutional Banking, wishing to move into project finance has become available. Whilst previous experience working on project finance deals is preferred, it is not essential for this opportunity.
As an integral member of the Project Finance origination team you will support a Director/sector lead who will drive business origination. You will support origination efforts and lead the execution phase of transactions through to closure.
This role offers tremendous learning and development, continued support and mentoring and most importantly be involved in exciting projects that put Australia on the Project Finance map globally.
Daily, you will be accountable for:
- Supporting the Project Finance sector leads to build, develop and maintain relationships with investors, financiers, advisors and various agencies
- Assist in origination duties, structure transactions and compile the credit paper, provide support and guidance to all relevant parties throughout the process
- Coordinate the transaction due diligence process (financial, credit and legal), managing the input of all relevant stakeholders
- Develop sector and increase company awareness and offerings
- Provide guidance to team members to increase their learning and development
- You will play a lead role in promoting the organisation to a national client base at relevant industry conferences and events.
Person Requirements:
- Degree qualified in a relevant finance discipline
- 4+ years experience in executing mid-market to large corporate transactions in Infrastructure, Renewable Energy, Natural Resources or Mining etc
- Strong credit analysis skills ideally working in Institutional Banking teams
- An ability to manipulate and sensitize financial models
- Exceptional written communication skills in preparing complex credit proposals
- Experience in negotiating loan documentation and liaising with legal through this process
- Exhibit a positive can-do attitude and be willing to share your knowledge across the team
Flexible working arrangements - You will be required to work in the office 50% over a 2 week period
