Saunders’ growth strategy and awarded project portfolio means we have an exciting opportunity for a Draftsperson – Mechanical and Tankage. The work will be based at the Head office in Rhodes. The Draftsperson position forms part of the Saunders Operations group. The Operations Group supports the delivery of construction and maintenance projects by providing Engineering, Drafting, HSE, Quality and Workshop services. The primary objectives of the Draftsperson are to support projects by: Executing project drafting and documentation requirements. Liaise with external draftspersons to ensure all drawings have been checked as per Saunders requirements. The principle duties and responsibilities of the Draftsperson include: Responsible for developing drawings in compliance with design codes. Liaise with engineers and project managers to ensure all required information are accurately captured on drawings. Liaise with external draftspersons to ensure all drawings have been checked as per Saunders requirements. Answer queries from project managers and site supervisors regarding drawing issues. Support estimate team for tender drawings. Manage, control drawing records. Manage, archive and retrieve all the drawings for record and for maintenance use. Perform all work duties in a safe and efficient manner. Accountable for ensuring that drawings developed by the company meet quality, safety, cost, schedule and constructability requirements.
