The AIS Caretaker’s Cottage is a program of the Australian Sports Commission (ASC). The Cottage is a small, community-focussed centre surrounded by bushland and located within the AIS precinct. We value our role providing high quality care and education to employees of the ASC.
About the role – We have an exciting opportunity for the right person to join our supportive and diverse Babies Room team. You will be familiar with the EYLF and have experience with the primary caregiving approach. You will have strong communication skills and be confident and independent in your use of technology. You will work co-lead a small nursery team and work collaboratively in an environment that values best practice, including better than minimum ratios and ongoing professional development.
About you – We are looking for a passionate educator, who has or is working towards a Diploma in Early Childhood, has extensive experience in Early Childhood settings particularly with children under 3 years, and a strong commitment to play-based learning and reflective practice.
This position is offered as a FIXED TERM position until 24 March 2025 with the possibility of being extended or made ongoing.

Eligibility
To be eligible for employment with the Australian Sports Commission, it is preferred that applicants are Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia.
As part of the Commonwealth Child Safety Framework the ASC is committed to being a Child Safe Organisation and leading the way in Child Safety across the sports sector. This position requires a Working with Vulnerable/Children People check to obtain employment.
Notes
The ASC is committed to protecting children from harm. We require all applicants that will work with children to undergo screening processes prior to appointment.
Should a merit pool be established for this position, it may be used to fill ongoing or fixed term opportunities as they arise within 18 months from the date advertised.
