About the role
The Human Resources Business Partner serves as a consultant and strategic partner to both employees and management, ensuring that HR initiatives are aligned with business objectives. You will collaborate with various departments to provide guidance and support in all areas of HR, including but not limited to employee relations, performance management, compensation, and organizational development.
Key responsibilities
- Strategic HR Planning: Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement HR strategies that support the company’s goals and objectives.
- Employee Relations: Serve as a primary point of contact for employee relations issues, providing guidance, counselling, and conflict resolutions to support employees and managers.
- Performance Management: Implement performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development planning, to enhance employee engagement and productivity.
- Compensation and Benefits: Assist in the development and administration of compensation and benefits program to ensure competitiveness and compliance with legal requirements.
- HR Policy and Compliance: Interpret and enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Organisational Development: Facilitate organisational change initiatives, such as restructuring, mergers, and acquisitions, to support business growth and development.
- HR Metrics and Reporting: Collect and analyse HR data to identify trends, measure the effectiveness of HR programs, and provide insight to support decision-making.

Essential Selection Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years generalist and operational experience.
- Strong understanding of HR best practices, Australian employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with a HRIS – preferably Elmo.
Desirable Selection Criteria
- Member of the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI).
- Experience working with people with disability.
